If your wife does not like camping, get this!

My family and I have been camping for many years now and have been using ground tents. Stepping up to High Country RTT cuts the freezing cold significantly. My kids love being in the tent and the High Country 63” makes my wife enjoy camping a bit more. Definitely would recommend any of FSR’s products to anyone. Customer service A1!

Excellent quality

I debated for a long time on which tent I would like to purchase. There were so many companies to choose from. I finally decided on the FSR High Country 63” Premium and I’m glad I did. The tent is top quality and I can’t wait to use it. Shipping was fast and the packaging was unscathed (my brother had a bad experience with another company, which will remain nameless). When it comes time to buy another RTT, I will definitely go through FSR.

The ‘Gucci' of soft-shell RTTs

I did an extensive amount of research before pulling the trigger on the FSR High Country 63” Premium. Not only did I outgrow my 2-man Tepui, I also learned a lot about what I wanted out of a RTT rig. All-in-all, I'm extremely satisfied with this rooftop tent... it is a massive improvement from my previous setup in so many ways.

Pros:
1. Packaging was top-notch; the tent was delivered in pristine condition.
2. Extremely solid and sturdy construction.
3. External frame maximizes internal sleep space.
4. Built-in LED light strip is awesome… incredibly functional.
5. Awning window affords coverage without sacrificing your view.
6. Zippered power cord port adds flexibility for heaters/powered items without the penalty of cold air drafts if not in use.
7. Blackout fabric makes for a cozy den-feel (could also be listed as a con, though… you may sleep in and show up late to the trailhead!).

Cons:
1. I dealt with a considerable amount of condensation during my initial use of the tent; I wound up having to open both side windows ~8” each in addition to the ceiling vent to avoid moisture build-up… this sacrificed quite a bit of warmth.
2. Door opening is clumsy and awkward; I wish it was zippered on top/side/bottom instead of side/bottom/side… difficult to roll-up and secure out of the way no matter if you’re on the inside OR outside of the tent.
3. Mounting bracket/hardware isn’t ideal; I wish the stator was not u-shaped, as this creates compatibility issues for wider crossbars/racks.
4. Mattress is the weakest link in the tent design… I’ll be adding a topper or replacing the mattress altogether before my next trip.

Installers are extremely helpful

I was thoroughly impressed during installation and their willingness to answer all of my questions. I am very pleased with how well my RTT stood up to the rain last weekend and kept me dry. The pockets and LED lights are perfect. The space is very roomy. Opening and closing the tent is quite simple for one person. I can't wait to use it more and learn new tricks.

Hi, I have not yet been camping but I have installed the tent on the back of my pickup and am ready to go. I drove down to a park the other morning and opened it up and have to say I am very impressed with the quality as were a few passers bye. I love the big space, the windows, and being 66 I also love the fact that on the back of my 2010 Ford Ranger I am not 10 feet in the air climbing on the ladder. Because of HOA restrictions where we live there is no place to park a camper and paying storage fees is just not practical to me. After a year of trying to decide on my retirement gift I decide the 63 premium was the best option I had given my space and equipment. In Arizona we do more winter camping than summer but nights still get down in the 30's so the 4 season setup of the premium fits the bill. Unfortunately it's raining this weekend but next weekend we hit the road. So far I can say the quality and doing business with the company deserves 5 stars. If the camping is as good I may never come home to tell you the rest. Thank you for asking.
