We recently ordered an FSR High Country 80 Premium rooftop tent. With the personal assistance from Casey and Abraham, the tent arrived as expected and it is beautiful. Easy attachment to my Billie bars system and very easy to deploy. I would recommend this tent, or any product from FSR. Their support and guidance is flawless. It is obvious that they take pride in their business. Great job guys!
First blew me start by stating that the customer service with this company is bare none. The people at freespirit will answer the phones ready to make you feel like part of the family. Not only does the staff have a great attitude but they are very knowledgeable about their products. My family and I were able to get out this past weekend and put the tent/gen2 light/annex to use. We bought this tent for ease of setup while still being to accommodate a family of 4 with a black lab puppy too boot. This tent setup in less than 5 mins “big change from our other soft tent we were used too. Not only was the quality much much better but the comfort of this tent in 20* was outstanding. Myself and family have zero complaints and are so glad we chose freespirit! Great job guys keep up the great work!
Love it. plenty warm and easy to setup fast. plus it's super comfortable
Just finished 2 week trip with our new High Country 80” Premium RTT. Set up is a breeze and plenty of room for our family of 5 (kids are 12,10,8). Took a hit on gas mileage but that was expected. The mattress is very comfortable. Nighttime temperatures on this trip ranged from 98 - 28 deg F and we were able to stay comfortable. Our tent sits on top of our Ford Expedition with a bit of a lift so it is ~8.5’ tall. Mounting made easy using a HD kayak lift setup in our shop which allows us to drive under it. It is a bit of a struggle to get it up there from the ground. Extremely pleased with the quality of the materials. Definitely recommend this tent.
We just got back from our first trip in this tent. I would have to say this is the best one for us, thus far. I have had three previous RTT's. All good in their own right. I like this one the most because has the best combination of quick setup and roominess. I now realize having a tent that can hold two adults, with dog, gear, and even a potty, is much better than a tent that is too small, yet sets up it 10 seconds. I'll take the extra 5 minutes of setup and takedown time any day. The tent is well built and has many thought out features, like integrated LED light, various hooks and pockets. And even the velcro tabs on the front door make it easy to close without having to always zip up.
My only suggestion for additional speed of set up , would be to design more space inside to store sleeping bags and air mats when closed. It is possible to squeeze a bit in there, then ratchet it down, but why not design and extra inch or two? That would rival even the fastest tents, because sleeping gear would already be done. Overall, well done!
Ps. The crew at the Bend location are second to none. Good work guys!
Unlike other fold-outs on the market, our High Country features 360-degrees of views to immerse your party in the natural landscape.
Stay warmer in the Winter and cooler in the Summer with our insulated tent fabric. We sonic-welded three layers of moisture-wicking fabric to keep you cozy like a puffy parka.
Excellent quality, quick set up tear down.
We have camped our High Country Tent several weekends now and we love it! We have taken it on and off the truck twice. It is heavy. Storing it is a bit of a challenge. But we love the tent and are 100% satisfied with the quality and appreciate how easy it is to set up and put away. Perfect size for our family of 4. Highly recommend FSR and theHigh Country 80Premium.
Our high country premium 80 is just sweet already have 3 trips in the books, including one very wet and stormy west coast beach camping trip! Solid and dry the whole time, kids love being up off the ground and even the wife is happy :) A family of 4 in one tent with all the bags and plenty of room (granted we aren't large people :)).
High Country 80 Premium - Quality Tent
I have had the tent about a week and have 3 nights in it so far. First reactions is this is a very well, beefy constructed RTT. Two nights have been on a wind exposed outcropping and the tent did great. I did need some help getting it open the first night as the wind was fighting me. One night it got below freezing and it was nice and toasty inside the tri-layer. As it warmed up a bit in the morning I opened the windows just a bit and got some good ventilation. It also dried it out as I noticed some condisation formed inside with just me and all the windows closed up. I got the black tent and a huge perk is that it is very dark inside with everything closed up. No 4:45 am wake up from the sun coming up. The only place I see a little concern is the front door zippers. They seem really good but when zipping the door closed the zippers struggle a bit as they go around the corner. I am sure it will be fine but time will tell. I also wish the ties to hold the tri-layer door rolled up were just a bit longer. I have to pull fairly hard to get them to fit around the puffy door.
I love this tent. It is great and easy to set up. My family of 4 will spend many nights in it by the end of this year. This tent provides a really good night sleep with a comfy mattress and you are off the ground.
