It’s even better than I thought! Easy install, easy set up! Highest quality product!

We haven’t had time yet to install our Evo V2 standard tent. We can comment that the purchase & delivery was all a very smooth experience. We had our tent in our garage with in about 4 days of purchase. We’ve been working on choosing & installing a Sherpa roof rack to replace the stock rack on our 2013 FJ Cruiser. Next we just need some helpers & good weather to get the tent installed. It’s a process but very excited!
Only wish the Aircare 3” mattress was available :/ we’ll keep checking back for that. Our tent came with the 3” adaptive foam, maybe it’s good enough?
Road trip from Montana to Alaska in 2026!

Ive always been brining my ground tent and its so horrible setting up after a long drive. With this its so easy to setup cook food right when we get into the site and take it easy. cleanup is so easy too! I love this RTT

Setup is incredibly easy. 4 latches, gentle push-up and attach the ladder.
Once inside there are plenty of options for windows and vents open or closed in any combination to manage airflow on all 4 sides. I like that the clamshell stays on top. That will be great protection from rain and snow.
There are so many pockets, pouches, hooks, and mesh for storing things out of the way. The internal lighting works well. The external shoe pouch keeps the dirt out.
The thick insulated fabric blocks out the morning sun - that has its pros and cons.
Finally, take down is nearly as easy as set up. On the last climb down the ladder, I pull down the top and tuck in some fabric. Then around to the other side and grab the pull strap. Another minor tuck, then latched and done!

Would have been 5 stars but you need to buy upgraded gas struts for 90$ to be able to get the roof to lift up when you have a rack and anything mounted to it. Amazing tent though!

FSR is overall an amazing company. They happily sat with me on multiple (somewhat long) phone calls to answer all of my questions and work out exactly what I would need while explaining all of my options. I decided to go with the EVO 2 and 270 awning. Just received about a week ago and installed with no issues. The material and build quality is stellar. so many nuanced details went into the manufacturing and design of this tent and awning. The self inflating mattress is really comfortable, and I appreciate all of the thought that went into the pockets and lights and zippers etc etc. I have nothing negative to say about this tent so far. Love it. Recommend. 10/10. FSR, keep doing what you're doing. The staff, customer service and products are all incredible.

I am extremely impressed with every aspect. The communication about my Evolution V2, the delivery itself (speed and delivery method) the design for both the function and materials are all extremely well put together. The only flaw in the whole thing is the lack of options for attaching it to my bed rack. I wish there was an option when purchasing for different mounting hardware based upon the type of rack system owned instead of a rounded bracket. Maybe a partnership with some of the more prominent/ popular rack manufacturers?

I am definitely a happy camper! The staff were amazing and was very helpful! I have a 2000 Jeep XJ and it worked out perfectly! My only recommendation is shorts bolts; I had to cut four of them because of the way my mounting brackets are designed! The quality of the material and structure of the tent did not disappoint Other than that, I have no complaints! Thanks again!

So far, the EVO 2 is simplistic when it comes to setup and take down. as advertised setup is a breeze the included air mattress is comfortable.
I was able to include 2 pillows 2 sleeping bags and thick blanket with a little adjustment to the latches work out great.
Thanks FSR for a great product. Cant wait to try out other FSR items

Best 4 season hardshell tent in the market

This is an amazing tent. We love it and would recommend it to everyone.

We picked up the Evolution V2 short tent late in June in Colorado at FSR. The staff was awesome (Logan, Ben, Ben…). They really are friendly and go the extra mile. It fits perfectly on our Subaru Outback and doesn’t increase gaz consumption more than a Thule box.

All together we travelled more than 12000km with the tent (Utah, Arizona, California, Colorado…all the way back to Montreal). We went through heat waves (120 degrees), tornado warnings, storms… and the tent was totally outstanding with everything Mother Nature threw at us. So stable with big winds and well ventilated when it’s really hot. There’s no way water can go through the 3 fly walls.

Takes less than a minute to open and almost as fast to close. Really, it is an outstanding tent. We consider it a “home run”! We spent 40 nights in our tent during the trip and can’t wait to leave again! Can't wait to try it in our winters!

I’ve had this tent on my ‘17 JKU for about 6 months now and I love it. I sleep better in it than most hotels. I’m also 6’2” 250 and slept in just about every condition now: rain, freezing, wind, heat and it’s worked perfectly. Definitely recommend and I can’t wait to try more FSR products.

Easy set up and feels very durable so far!

The best decision I’ve made was getting the EVO 2. It’s very well made, easy to deploy. The long has enough room to sleep 2 comfortably with room for bags and unlike clamshell tents you don’t have a cramped section of the tent. The tri-layer fabric is dark so the light doesn’t bother you and keeps you warm at night. The tent has plenty of pockets to put personal items at night. I love the slight overhang so you can enjoy looking out in inclement weather. Great tent!

Excellent tent. Easy to setup, dark and warm inside with the Tri-layer fabric. Lots of pockets to store items. Plenty of room for 2 people and bags.

Evolution V2 - Rooftop Tent

The Evolution V2 is exactly what you can expect from a premium roof top tent comfortable, build quality, and attention to detail. FSR really thought through everything to make camping a breeze and comfortable. Their service is also timely and helpful with any questions from mounting to delivery process. I’m very impressed with FSR.

We can't wait to use this tent in 6 weeks. It's such an upgrade to our manuel adventure.

Love the look, simplicity, easy set up, and overall construction of this tent!

Would be great to have heat resistant rubber strips to help with sliding. This prevents the metal on metal mounting.

The screws included were very long and would be better to have 2 different sizes. Maybe a drop down option at time of order.

The surface of the v2 in the sun can get extremely hot. Not sure how to fix that but, need to be careful when lowering tent after its been in the sun.

This can be challenging when mounting things on top of tent or while securing it.

Maybe add a multi usb connector that can be powered with a battery pack? For additional accessories like a fan/ other

Lastly, the construction does extremely well with driving and does not make any noise. This was big for us.

Overall, we love our tent and quality.

Well I got it on top. My jeep fits absolutely perfect on a TJ jeep wrangler 2004. I opened it up. She looks perfect. I really like the quality on how it was made. I cannot wait to go camping for the first time in it bonus throw a big shout out to Logan for helping me pick it out and get it shipped to me.

It looks and feels better then any video or pictures that I've seen prior of me buying it.

I cannot begin to explain how great this company is. Working with their sales team was nothing but top-notch service. My tent arrived as scheduled and exceeded my expectations. I’m so excited to get out and use this for years to come.

I’ve had my evolution v2 for 2 weeks. I’ve spent 6 nights in it traveling to LA and TX. Best nights of sleep in weeks. Super easy to set up and put away. LOVE IT!!!

This is an amendment to a previous review: I had an issue with shipping, where my product arrived dented. I emailed FSR and almost immediately received an actual phone call from them. I worked with Katie to work out a solution to this disappointment and have to say she was awesome! I cannot say enough for this company, and how they took such great care of their customers, and I would definitely recommend anyone to buy from them in the future. It’s nice to know people actually care. Shout out to Cheyenne as well. Your patience with all my questions was refreshing.
