Ultralight Roof Top Tent

An ultralight rooftop tent for the weekend warriors and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Greater Opening Angle

With the smaller footprint at just 80" in length, we knew we had to make adjustments. We increased the opening angle to 51° to allow for extra footroom and ample interior space.

Intentionally Armored

To strike a fine balance between insulating and prioritizing the compact, lightweight design, patented Tri-Layer armors the most vital areas, paired with FSR Tech Fabric.

Static U-Bar

For maximum headroom and the quickest setup time. Our static U-bar is easy to operate and lets you make the most of the vertical space inside your tent.

Plenty of Pockets

Small details, big difference. Aspen Lite features a detachable gear grid, two massive catch-all pockets, and a dedicated pocket for storing the dimmable LED light’s USB power bank.

Condensation Elimination

Not only does the aluminum open, cross-slat floor contribute to weight savings,  it’s a superior design that allows the tent to breathe. We paired it with strategically located venting to virtually eliminate condensation.

Learn More

Aspen Lite’s groundbreaking Tonneau-style top allows us to achieve such a dramatically lightweight profile. It’s an innovation we’re incredibly proud to share and makes Aspen Lite perfect for vehicles like Jeeps where adding weight to the roof can be a concern.

Never sacrificing comfort for shedding pounds, Aspen Light features our patented Tri-Layer technology that helps maintain a comfortable climate inside the tent regardless of the weather outside.

And, as any stellar piece of ultralight gear should be, this clamshell rooftop tent is not just lightweight, but also fast. Setup takes under 30 seconds. The included Aircore mattress even inflates itself. We can’t help but humble brag about this one.

  • Unique hybrid frame design makes use of single channel extruded aluminum with a tonneau style top purpose built to minimize weight and resist wear.
  • Included soft cover for added protection during long hauls.
  • Our signature blacked-out design looks sleek on any rig and won’t throw a wrench in your aesthetic or your plans to sleep in late.
  • Featuring our largest integrated dimmable interior LED light strip that bathes your space with warm light to keep the late-night activities and shenanigans going.
  • Compatible with Aspen Lite-specific crossbars for mounting lightweight accessories like solar panels.
  • We do everything in our power to ensure your RTT is relentlessly rugged and reliable, from using a dedicated single-origin manufacturer to reiterating when we identify room for improvement, but if you happen to need it, we offer a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturer defects that occur with typical use.

Aspen Lite Features

4-Season Use 100% Waterproof

Our patented Tri-Layer technology works like a canteen to strategically fortify the floor, doors, and ceiling where heat would otherwise seep in when it’s hot and escape when it’s cold.

FSR Tech Fabric is used everywhere else to minimize weight and maximize packability. Both materials are 100% waterproof to keep you dry always.

Tonneau-Style Top

Using the Tonneau-style material as the roof of the Aspen Lite was our answer to building an ultralight model that lives up to our rigorous standards of longevity.

Not only is it lightweight, but the 600D ripstop oxford is the same material relied upon to withstand road wear, weather, and abrasion for years on end as a truck bed cover.

Deploys in T-30 Seconds

Pop open 4 quick latches, push up on the tent to engage the interior gas struts, extend the u-bar, and you're ready to camp in under a minute.

Spend more of your valuable outdoor time doing the fun stuff and less of it on “work”.

Adjustable Comfort

Nothing puts a damper on an alpine start like tossing and turning all night. Our patented Aircore mattress is self-inflating with the option to use a pump. Adjust your mattress to your comfort level and settle in for a serene night's sleep under the stars.

Durable, Lightweight Construction

Extruded aluminum frame, open, cross-slat floor and a tonneau-style top help keep this tent ultra-light under 100 lbs.

Very happy!

Just spent 5 nights in my Aspen Lite Standard in Yellowstone NP, and I absolutely loved it! Temps were just below freezing at night - I did notice a very very thin layer of condensation on the interior, even with the top vents and top corners of the doors open, but it was gone by the time I’d get back to the campsite. It was very easy to setup and take down, and the mattress is very comfortable, even for a side sleeper! The only downside to this tent is that the shoe storage bags can only attach at the back of the tent, which might work fine for some vehicles, but the design of the crosstrek wilderness doesn’t allow for using the ladder at the back. Overall though, I’m really happy with the aspen lite and definitely recommend it!

Aspen Lite

The team at FSR were amazing, they helped lift the tent onto my rack and gave me suggestions for the best way to attach the tent to my rack. The tent is super easy to set up and is amazingly comfortable. Especially the air mattress. During the winter the diesel heater ports will be very much appreciated. The tent is very well designed and extremely well made.

Insulation, comfort, aesthetic and usability are 10/10

The Aspen Lite XL is without reservation the best RTT I've owned. The insulation keeps us very comfortable in low temperatures, and surprisingly also keeps the tent comfortable in the morning sun that typically turns other tents into a greenhouse.

We love the integrated dimmable light and storage panel, they make the tent feel organized and spacious. Would highly recommend picking up a pump to inflate/deflate your pad to make pack up easy.

Aspen Light Standard

I checked out a lot of other RTT's and after reading all the positive reviews for FSR, I decided to go this route. I was going to go with another company that is really popular, but there were a number of bad reviews of their costumer service. Best about FSR vs others: 1) I schedule a phone appointment, and they answered all my questions, 2) Ordering was easy and painless, 3) Received my RTT in a timely manner, 4) Had questions about some things with installing and setting up my Aspen Light. I connected with costumer service several times by phone and email, and they were very helpful in getting me set up and on the road with my new RTT. That right there is monumental, IS COSTUMER SEVICE, and they did not disappoint!
