Odyssey Standard 49" - Rooftop Tent

Took this tent out over the weekend and it exceeded my expectations! It was windy where I went and it was super sturdy, it was great in the cold, it was comfortable, spacious, easy to setup, all of it. Super happy I went with FSR for my RTT!

Our experience with FSR has been great from the start. Questions asked and answered with patience in advance of ordering, etc. the team onsite was helpful onsite in Golden, etc. the tent is fantastic— high quality, DARK when closed up, plenty big for me and my wife plus a kid. Super easy up and down, and I love having a cover on the hard top for around town. I’ve got a bunch of trips planned for the spring/summer and plan to do some winter camping right soon now that I have this on my vehicle. (It is not too heavy, but the awkwardness of moving it requires four people if you don’t have a garage lift. Thank goodness I do.)

First, the guys at FSR are extremely helpful. I chatted with Tanner for 30 minutes about what tent would be best for my application. We agreed that the Odyssey v2 XL would be the best fit. Shipping was extremely fast. I placed my order on a Thursday and had the tent installed by Tuesday night.
It was packaged well and made through freight shipping with no damage. The tent itself is built to last. All the fabric on the tent feels very high quality and insulated nicely. I love they supply a cover that goes over the tent. Living in Texas, I hope it will help keep the UV rays from doing any longer-term damage. I have popped it up a few times, but I will be taking my first proper trip this weekend to give it a full test. Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase and would rebuy another one if I ever find myself in that position.

It’s my first rtt. I did about a yr of research before I pulled the trigger and ended up with the Odyssey XL. Just took it on my first camping trip and loved it!
