Perfect for Aspen Pro, Aspen Pro XL, Evo XL
The stock mattress that comes with most rooftop tents gives you one firmness setting: whatever it is. The Aircore gives you a range. An 80/20 blend of memory foam and air means the mattress opens and expands on its own when you pop the tent — then you fine-tune it from there. Add air for firmer support, release some for a softer feel. One owner summed it up cleanly: "you can dial this in to be just right." Another called it a game changer after three minutes of inflation and one night of sleep.
80% Memory Foam, 20% Air — Adjustable Every Night The foam core gives you a consistent base while the air component lets you customize. Firmer for back sleepers, softer for side sleepers, somewhere in between for everyone else. No two people sleep the same way — this one accounts for that.
Self-Inflates on Open Open the valve when you pop the tent and the foam begins expanding on its own. A quick top-up with a pump gets you to your preferred firmness from there. No manual inflation from scratch, no electric pump required — though an air pump makes the process faster. One owner notes: "all I have to do is open the vents when I open it and close them a minute after I opened the tent."
3" Thick Inflated, 0.5" Packed Three inches of sleeping thickness when inflated, half an inch when fully deflated and rolled. Leaves plenty of room in the tent for bedding on top without adding meaningful bulk when packed.
Innovative Valve Design The inflate/deflate nozzles are designed to hold air during inflation and release cleanly during deflation — no backflow, no fighting the valve. One reviewer called them "genius."

Aircore Mattress Warranty Disclaimer
While we stand behind the quality of our gear, Aircore mattresses are not covered under warranty due to the inherent variables and potential for misuse that fall outside of our control.
These include, but are not limited to:
Improper Use or Handling: Damage caused by overinflation, folding with air inside, or failure to follow proper care may compromise the integrity of the mattress.
Negligence and Physical Damage: Punctures, tears, or other damage resulting from sharp objects, abrasive surfaces, or improper cleaning methods are not considered manufacturer defects.
Atmospheric Pressure Changes: Varying altitudes and temperatures can affect internal air pressure. This may lead to over-expansion or deflation, which are natural reactions to environmental conditions—not product defects.
Incorrect Valve Operation: Failure to fully close the valve, forceful handling, or overtightening can lead to air loss or valve damage.
Excessive Heat Exposure: Direct sunlight, high-temperature environments (such as inside a closed vehicle or inside a closed tent at high temps), or contact with hot surfaces can cause damage to the materials or air chamber.
For these reasons, and to maintain the integrity of our broader warranty policy, Aircore mattresses are excluded from warranty coverage. We encourage all customers to review the included care and use instructions to get the most life out of their mattress.
This mattress was amazing in my rooftop tent . Me and my wife slept like angels
Works perfect
The mattress is perfect 👌 Super easy to inflate, and you can add/subtract aisr for the perfect firmness for you. The nozzles for inflating/deflating are genius!
Best purchase I’ve ever made. You can dial this in to be just right. Ooooo it’s nice!!
Bought this as an upgrade to my Odyssey 55 inch. Its a much more comfortable, tunable mattress than the stock mattress system, which honestly sucks. The only nit pick I have is the valves. They seem flimsy and prone to wearing out over time. Im gauging this based on other air mattresses I own with similar flip valves to inflate/deflate via rotation. Time will tell but if the valve is soft and weak then fails out on the trail.. well money not well spent. Hey FSR.. you guys need to look into this with a repair kit option or something incase the soft rubber in the valve’s fail. My pad arrived without a repair kit in it and just an empty plastic baggie.. great… Over landers deserve good quality gear that they spend LOTS of money on. Comfy pad! Meh.. on the valve. No repair patch kit for basically a 200 dollar mattress? Really? Amazon mattresses come with one.. Do better!
Great price on a great item
Literally the best mattress I’ve ever seen for a rooftop tent. We use them in our topoak galaxy 1.0’s they fit flawlessly on top of the existing mattress with bedding and closes just fine when this mattress is aired down fully.
Works great but definitely get the pump it's a game changer
First Off…. A must have for Odyssey owners! Get rid of that memory foam mattress! This new aircore mattress took me 3 minutes to blow up with my mouth and and O M G! Game changer! Love it and it just made my experience greater now!! And the baffles in the blow up ports are great. No loss of air when you are blowing it up…AND NO return of air when you are deflating!!
Added this to my tent, and it made a world of difference. Compared to all the other hybrid sleep mats out there, this one is the clear winner for the price it's at. I'm a big guy and a side sleeper so I had to add another 1.5" foam on top of this for a little extra cushion, but if you're not 6'4" 245lbs like me, you'll probably be fine with just this air mattress. Easy to set up (self inflates), and easy to deflate and roll back up.
This mattress is perfect for this tent, all I have to do is open the vents when I close it and close them a minute after I opened the tent. I can even adjust the softness by closing the vents before the mattress is fully inflated. I have the extra thick mattress under it and a heating cover over it, no problem.
Followed the directions, overinflated, and left it for a few days. Super comfortable, haven't tried as our only rooftop mattress yet, but it is perfect over the 2" mattress that came with the tent!
Man, opened it up and it was of course thin before it took in the air to maximize the mattress but then I added air with a small handheld amazon rechargeable pump. Unreal and mad comfy!
This is very comfortable however, it feels more like 40 percent foam and 60 percent air at best. Not 80 percent foam and 20 percent air. All in all though, very happy with it and the shipping is very fast. Thank you.
Although I was told that this mattress was intended to replace the one that came with my Evolution Tent, I used it as a topper and was pleased as punch. Might use it as a replacement in the future, but for now, this old back is likin' it as a topper ... even though it's tough to deflate!
I love this mattress. I found the stock mattress to be uncomfortable and was thrilled to find this inflatable to be available for the 49" tent. A fantastic addition to a fantastic tent. I am completely satisfied. It does take a bit of effort to deflate, but it is well worth it. Thanks for the product!
I am on my 3rd Aircore 3" mattress. I absolutely love the comfort these mattresses provide but the outer cover seems to de-laminate which causes air bubbles. After the first mattress failed I reached regarding a warranty replacement and FSR was very fair and met me 1/2 way. They also provide tips to prevent it from happening again. Unfortunately, those didn't work for my mattress. I chose to order another based strictly on the comfort level they provide.
This is an absolute MUST for your RTT! Love the simple design and ease of use!! Best sleep I've ever had in an RTT.
We didn't really have an issue with the old mattress that was included in our Evo v1 - but the aircore mattress is AWESOME!
We used it the first time this past week, and it was super comfortable, easy to get inflated and set up, and packed in perfect when we broke our tent down.
Love FreeSpirit - and continue to be impressed with their product and their customer service!
This is an awesome mattress I'll Quote Brad from trailrecon.
The most important thing to any roof top tent is the mattress. I'll second that. A good night slep starts with the SELF-INFLATING AIRCORE MATTRESS.
Solid upgrade to an already amazing tent!
The self inflating air-mattress is high quality and a much better mattress than what shipped with the Evolution (V1). Very impressed and grateful that FreeSpirit offer an upgrade discount to folks who purchased Evolution (V1). This is the mattress that should have launched Evolution.
Thanks FreeSpirit.
Double check the seams after you let it rise. I had a few areas in mine where the seam had holes and one area in the seam where it bubbled up. Their customer service was excellent in getting a replacement out! Just be sure that it holds air. It comes with a patch for the usual rips and pin holes. It would be great if they also included seam glue just incase this happens after warranty.
