Weighing just 37 pounds, the FSR 270 awning is the lightest swing awning on the market. Mount it to any rack, or even our hardshell tent channels, to make your adventures more weather resilient.
No poles, no problem! This baby handles itself in windy conditions, but comes with stakes and tie downs for extreme circumstances.
It's metal frame is constructed of extruded alloy composite, delivering a exceptional strength to weight ratio.
Its 900D Ripstop With PVC Inner Coating cover protects the awning when traveling through even the thickest brush, and contains an anti-ultraviolet property to avoid discoloration.
The Awning Fabric is a 600D Oxford Ripstop, the same high quality fabric as our standard tents, and features a PVC inner coating to hinder wear.
When boots are on and the weather is getting intense, swing-open this 78 SqFt active shelter to shield against passing storms or midday heat.
It's wrap-around geometry helps protects against the elements when loading and unloading your equipment, too. Flip up the kickstand to help shed water from the awning during those heavier rain storms.
For added weather-resilience, check out the 270 Awning Room!
The awning comes with guide ropes and stakes to allow you to secure your awning when wind becomes the enemy.
Love the covered space this awning provides, especially the more squared off area at the rear instead of the angled design most awnings have. I mounted it up and used it 2 days later and it just happened to rain most of the evening. I was thankful to have the covered area to be able to cook on the tailgate of my Tacoma. Deployment and putting it away are super easy and quick. Glad I made the investment! Only flaw was that the box was damaged in shipping which put two pinholes in the cover.
Install was simple and fast. Deployment is quick and easy. I haven’t used it in the bush yet but can’t wait to try it out. I see the awning room in my future…
Absolutely in love with my new awning! I chose the passenger side awning since we’re not always camping its nice to pull off the path and still have a little privacy (hiding behind the truck) from the rest of the off road traffic. Literally all you have to do is unzip it swing it around and secure it to the rooftop tent or the rack and you’re done, no poles, straps or ratchets to worry about. Don’t waste your time with any others, well worth the money!
Spent over a week traveling up highway 1 with the awning. Setup is easy and can be down by one person. The walls are sturdy and the floor is durable. I am overall impressed by the quality of the material and how every piece of the setup has extra material making setup and tear down easy. This would be a 5 star review but there seemed to have been a design change between the first product video and the final product. The support arms featured in the video show them hinged on the wing arms. The final product had them come separate in their own bag. Isn't a big deal when using the awning without the room but when setting up the annex room the weight of the walls causes the awning to flex raising the other side and the pole falls out. The tip of the pole inserts into a rubber grommet that after the first use pushed into the tubbing of the awning arm. Bit of a pain which takes away from the easy of use/setup.
Handled as advertised on the first outing. Easy install, deployment, and redeployment.
