Add space for a changing room!

I took the annex with me on a wild boar hunt in Mississippi. It worked great as a changing room and dry space out of the rain. Quick setup and takedown, it has been a great addition.

Love it

I could probably write for days about this tent. Just wrapped up a 6-day trip where the tent was really put through its paces. We got to see everything from rain, extreme Valley of the Gods heat and even a wind storm on the Snake River in Idaho. The High Country 55 is near perfect for our uses.

The only areas of improvement, I can think of, are as follows: a grab handle near the entrance would be nice. The user's ability to comfortably get in / out of the tent is, basically, determined by the length of your ladder. If its imperfect there can be a sizable gap between the highest usable rung and the door. As the tent sits now there is nothing structural to grab ahold of when the platform isn’t perfectly level. That brings me to my next point…..the ladder. The rungs desperately need halfway adjustment points. If you’re setting up on ground that is rocky, sandy, off-camber or whatever….you’re gonna have a bad time. The ladder supports and determines the users ability to level the front / entrance portion of the sleeping platform. We found that, on several occasions, the ground being off-camber leads to an off-level platform. With no ability to make fine adjustments with the ladder we found ourselves using rocks / wood to fine-tune it.

In conclusion this tent is, absolutely, worthy of five-stars. We drove to FSR and had the tent installed by some really awesome and HELPFUL dudes. Had a great experience on all fronts. Thanks, FSR!
